Forward is a line inspired by Picasso's Mandolin and Guitar. This weird painting is devised of odd color combinations, random shapes, and graphic patterns. Standing inches away from the painting, you can see the intention behind each individual brush stroke. It's a piece I walked away from and could not stop thinking about. Like the painting, I wanted each garment to be composed of different elements -- because that it what being a human is.
This line is heavily based on the conversations and interviews I had with many older women (the ones I aspire to be). Made of drapey weaves and structured knits, I want this line to honor the creativity, dynamism, and forward-moving nature of these women.
